More info on the artists:
Ben Milstein manages to eke out very demented and apocalyptic sounds from his machines that will turn your head inside out. The music has real depth, not merely relying on obvious hooks or loops to keep the listener's interest; just as a groove snags you in, it evolves into something else as everything dissolves into a sea of distortion or is swallowed up by a huge barrage of bass and the track hits you from yet another angle. Check out Ben's music on Touchin' Bass under the pseudonym Dr. Evil.
To sit at a table set with the sounds of 214 is to be served Hungry-man portions of honey-buttered electro beats, side dishes of synth-line treats, and dollops of IDM-get-down. Like most musicians, Chris Roman's path is rooted in a veritable melting pot of sounds. You might say that he brings to the table a fondue of mixed beats and blips. Check out 214's tracks on Digital Distortions!
Dampkrane makes music which I would not say adheres to any specific genre... my songs tend to fluctuate in styles as you might find. He was part of the great Portland IDM grassroots label, isDiff. Dampkrane blends the line between IDM and dance music forming a unique hybrid style bordering on robot and jazz. He has songs released on the upcoming local PDX label, Buried in Time.
Let's Go Outside and Señor Frio start the night off with a DJ set commemorating Nickelodeon's slimy game show, Double Dare!
