About
La Snacks was started in late 2004 in Port Arthur Texas from the same soil as legends Janis Joplin and UGK(although they sound nothing like those acts). They put their first record out on the San Diego indie Cashcow records in June 2005 and are currently working on a new ep on yet to be determine label. The now Austin quartet have been compared with contemporaries like the Hold Steady and Art Brut for their earnest pop culture lace lyrics. Combine that with their avant guard guitar work and uniquely minutemen esque rhythm section. You get something you can both sing along and dance to, which lets be honest does not happen as often as it should.
