I’ve grown tired of the weblog format, and I feel like it is limiting in some ways. I’ll be transitioning to a more static site, while at the same time continuing to have frequent updates in places like Twitter, Google Reader, etc.

As part of this, my URI will change to http://web.me.com/kevintdriver. Expect to see me there soon!

MobileMe will really help in speeding up the process of me sharing photos and promote ease of publishing from my Mac, which should, in turn, cause me to be more frequent and regular with my postings.

I am writing to tell you of an opportunity to once again partner with me in mission work to India this January.

On last year’s trip (summary here), I learned that two challenges exist for many prospective Indian believers: illiteracy and the unavailability of Scripture in a familiar dialect . To that end, I undertook a training program in Atlanta this past October called WalkThru the Bible. Through completion of this program, I am certified to teach a curriculum of seventy-seven hand signals and keywords which aid in recounting the entire Old Testament! Utilizing this tool, my pastor and I will be teaching Old Testament seminars in Lucknow, India so that current and future Indian believers might know the story of God and of His love for them as contained in those initial books of the Bible.

The trip will cost approximately $3000, including travel to India, transportation from Delhi to
the region we’ll be serving in, as well as lodging and donations to those who will be feeding us. Would you please consider contributing to this cost? Another important way to contribute, whether you are able to financially or not, is in prayer. Please pray for the Indians who will be attending our seminar and for our communication to be clear cross-culturally.

As we prepare to celebrate the Christmas season, let us remember that we commemorate the culmination of all that is communicated to us in the Old Testament. God’s love for us knows no bounds. In order to reconcile us to Himself, He sent us Christ. As we teach our seminars in India, this truth is what we will point to repeatedly.
