Finally. After over a year, we feel we have found the voice of Lights. It will be none other than our own Travis Lehman. You're probably thinking, "It took you a year to realize the singer you were looking for was already in your band?". You're right... it would have been convenient to come to this conclusion a little earlier. In all honesty, we have considered the possibility of Trav taking up the front-man position, but it never sincerely felt right until now.
On the other hand: We lost our man Adam (who played keys) due to conflicts in scheduling along the lines of work and women (no hard feelings of course, we love him to death). But that leaves us at a familiar spot: Looking for members.
If you, or anyone you know, is blessed with some good ol' fashioned ivory talent, please let us know. We'd like someone who is a proficient keyboard (mainly piano, but also some synth) player and has been playing for a while. We want them to be able to pick things up by ear and be able to contribute to the writing process.
We're also looking for a second guitarist to take a little pressure off of Trav, letting him focus a bit more on his new responsibility as a vocalist. To be specific: we're looking for a creative, clean playing guitarist. We don't need a rock star, we're not a guitar driven band. We're looking for someone who can add some thickness to our sound, take criticism well, and also add to the songwriting talent that is already a part of Lights.
