We are LIJ.
Bomani, Dave Merkli & Lindsay "Lij" Lecklider are the new soulful band LIJ. Fresh and honest songs paired with vintage grooves and complex musicality allure the ears and grip the hearts of those who are graced by them. The name means ‘child born of royal blood’, and while LIJ is all grown-up, there is a vulnerability to these songs, to Lindsay's voice, that is clearly drawn from a place of uninhibited innocence.
LIJ is getting ready to hit the road with with this soulful sound. Our first three singles, "Hold Out," "Midnight Hour," and "Hangman," are now available on MySpace, iLike, Virb . . . as well as for "fair trade" download on noisetrade.com/lij.
And, Lindsay's first solo project as "Lij" is now available for download on
