VIRB

My title may make you think that I'm going to start with excuses again. I will not. I have no excuses as to why my blog has remained silent for almost two months. It just has.

You see, for me, blogging in a sense is a different form of writing than most. I don't have to do it every day or every week. Sure, if I did it might mean I'd keep my readers (do I even have any?). But blogging is more of a willingness of a person to share thoughts over such a large space of people and time. So if I decide to, then I do. Otherwise I'm just not ready or not willing or I'd like to keep my thoughts to myself. Bear with me. And hopefully despite the lull you still enjoy reading my random ramblings.

I was thinking about writer's block recently. And I think it is caused by many things depending on who the writer is. One may describe it as the lack of ideas; another the lack of time to sit down and write; and yet another the inability to put thoughts down on paper, etcetra. I've experienced all of the afor mentioned and probably others. I think though if I were to remind myself of the great relief I get from the ability to put my thoughts down then I'd be more likely to write more. It's also a practice thing. Without practice you tend to get worse at things. Even natural talent can wary at not being used.

I've not said much at all and really just wandered my way into a conclusionless exposition. But it definitely jogged the memory a bit. And I'll be back.... eventually ; )
