Andy Thompson is featured as one of my guests 'Amongst Friends' on 6 July @ the Loons, Lyttelton. I met him on his course for songwriting @ CPIT. I'm inspired by his passion, guts and faith in peoples ability to tap into a kind of inner wisdom and truth, encouraging and drawing it out. Here's abit of a blurb...Since dropping out of university in the 70's, Andy Thompson has been a driving force in New Zealands' musical landscape. He has shared the stage with such luminaries as Shona Laing, Peter Garrett (Midnight Oil), Canadian legend Bruce Cockburn and Archie Roach;He was the instigator of such bands as Beyond a Joke and the Umbilical Chords and toured throughout the 80's with many top kiwi acts.
