God knew every single mistake humanity would make before he created anything. But yet, here we are. What a pursuit and what anticipation Jesus had and has for the bride we are and will become.
This is profound.

Relationally this is calling us to step up to the plate.

Guys
What a responsibilty you have to mirror this pursuit and anticipation in your own lives. It's vital to understand that this cannot be carried out in your own strength, but only by humbly and obediently seeking Christ and His strength. By finding His strength, realize that He will from there teach you things He needs to equip you with for following through with this pursuit and it will only happen in His timing. There is no room for selfishness. Too often it's too easy to put down your cross go and follow a girl who is too far to the side to get her attention. Instead, if you don't drop your cross, in His time she will be in your path, or close enough to get her attention the right way. :-)

Girls
We have a big responsibilty too. The biggest part of this is prayer. We don't spend enough time praying for the guys around us and for our future husbands. Instead, we like to fantasize about our futures instead of actively pursing to fall more in love with Christ every day. Sometimes we forget that we are cursed to want to find affirmation and satisfaction in guys....so our selfish nature is to pay attention to every joe shmoe that comes along. We let our foccus shift from pleasing God to pleasing guys when it really should please the guys that we are living our lives to please God. The love story that we usually have figured out in our heads is nothing to the one God has planned.

People
This is most important. If you do not love God you cannot love people. Like Bradley said last night, love is not an emotion, it is a choice. So, in other words, if you chose not to accept God and His love, then there is no way it can overflow to others. Chosing Love is the exact opposite of chosing selfishness. Think about what this says about your relationship with God, with your relationship with others, even a significant other....and how is should or isn't controlling every decision you make.
