What is a Poetry Slam?
A Poetry Slam is a poetry competition in which several poets are compared while reading their lines on the stage. Who chooses among those poets are persons from the public, directed by an EmCee (Master of Ceremony), a word from hip hop culture.
A Slam, which success now is spreading all over Italy in the recent years, is the art of performance, of talk/sound poetry: it lets poetry to be presented to the public in a new and involving way and, also, to recreate the relationships between poetry and its public.

The winner of this Poetry Slam will participate to the National Poetry Slam on 6th February in Binario 7 Theatre in Monza.
