Space Monkeys

God has put this verse on my mind... "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" -Matthew 6:26 I've been restless lately because I have a really good friend that has become quite sick lately. All I could think about was her and her family, and if everything was okay. It's true though that God uses every situation in our lives for a purpose. This one has just made me rely on God more and more. I can't make my friend feel better, it is out of my power. But God can, He gives us the strength when we don't have what it takes to get through different situations in our lives. Matthew 6:26 talks about how as God's creation, as His children, we are taken care of by Him. This is something we should always keep in mind so we will not end up losing focus on God and start doing things with our own strength, which in the end will end quite badly. We are not perfect, thankfully God is though. God wants us to rely on Him because He knows that we do not have the strength for everything. This reminds me of one of my favorite movies of all time, Fight Club. In Fight Club there is an army built and they are nicknamed "Space Monkeys." Throughout the movie Edwart Norton's character would question things and repeatedly the Space Monkeys (sometimes simultaneously) would say that you do not ask questions, blah blah blah. But another thing I noticed was that the Space Monkeys would tell Edwart Norton's character, "It's all taken care of, sir" and things like that. God basically wants us to remember that "it's all taken care of," that we should be relying on Him for everything. God has placed, if I may call them, Space Monkeys to take care of things and help us. When we have bills to pay and not enough money to pay them, then trust in God and He may place a Space Monkey in your life to give you what you need to pay that bill. Or, like in my situation, the awesome doctors taking care of my friend are Space Monkeys. God is awesome and will provide for us if we would only trust in Him. Oh, and please don't take "Space Monkey" as an insult, thank you. Last thing, please keep on praying for Coutney, even if you don't know her. Thank you. Christian ((Robot in Disguise))
