We are trying to impact lives at www.LookForAChurch.com and we know that happens one life at a time. So you being here is helping us spread our message.
#1 - So Here's Our Story:
For the past 15 years I have been working with churches and helping them connect with their surrounding communities. Through this work I realized that churches and people who are looking for a church didn't have a place to meet each other. Of course they could visit them on Sunday morning and get to know them there, but getting plugged into a church doesn't quite work that way. People want to know some things about the church before they visit.
After doing some research we decided the internet was the place to build this "meeting place" and www.LookForAChurch.com was born.
Since you're on VIRB then you understand the value of a site like this.
One of the questions people ask is, "Don't churches already have web site?" Yes, most do, but the problem is the majority of them are too hard to find, out of date and share irrelevant information. I know that may sound extreme, but after looking at thousands of church web sites, It's 100% accurate.

#2 - It's So Easy... The "Church Lady" Can Do It.
Now don't take that as a crack on older members in your congregation. My point is this, we're so confident in the ease of www.LookForAChurch.com that even the least tech savvy person in your church can run your profile because it's SIMPLE.
Every church that subscribes to www.LookForAChurch.com gets their own Interactive Church Profile (ICP). You can see an example here (example). Just like a other networking sites, everything about the church can be found on one page: Sermon Podcasts, Directions, Upcoming Events, Service Times, Ministries and much more. Once the church signs up they control everything in their own admin area. It's simple and effective and building relationship with visitors and most importantly -- getting everyone plugged into the body of Christ.

We have researched, designed, critiqued and redesigned in order to fulfill what we believe to be our calling, and to provide both local people and local churches a tool that will be beneficial for everyone and bring glory to the Father.
