Making Russian history at 7 years old wasn’t even the beginning for Loreta who at the age of 4, had already won the hearts of the Soviet Nation after emerging the peoples favorite of a nationally televised talent contest. From 2500 applicants, she made it to the final 50 and performed for a TV audience that reached well into the millions. Requests flooded in for the young starlet and she was soon travelling throughout Europe and at age just 5 received her first of many invitations to perform for the Lithuanian President. By the time she was 7, Loreta was holding her own amongst all other performers, in front of crowds of up to 20,000 in Moscow on numerous occasions, something which would continue right into her teenage years. It was here that Loreta made history as the first child to perform professionally on reputable stages such as Olympic Stadium (Moscow arena), Rossia Hall and Luzhniki Stadium along-side artists such as the multi-million selling Alla Pugacheva. Seeing the world as her stage at 15 Loreta moved to London to finish her education and hone her craft. It wasn’t long before people were taking notice of this beautiful & maturing talent. By the time school was behind her, Loreta had already begun working with successful UK songwriters including Russ Ballard, Bruce Woolley & Jackie Rawe. As recognition for her talent continued, Loreta was asked to perform the soprano vocals on Grace Jones’ song “Storm”, for “The Avengers” movie soundtrack. Another foray into the world of soundtracks came when Loreta performed and co-wrote the song “Trouble with Boys” for the US primetime sitcom “Friends”. Junior Vasquez provided the remix and the track became the integral audio backdrop for the hilarious Monica/Ross dance routine.
After so many years of hard work, success was beckoning but Loreta found herself in a situation with no creative freedom and unable to make the music she wanted. Unhappy with the direction everything had taken, she made the tough decision to take time out from her career and made another move but this time to Miami. Ever the creative, she learned photography and spent more time concentrating on the painting she loves. Never one to leave music behind though, she began educating herself in the business and law of the music industry until she found herself once again inspired and writing songs, with an uncontrollable desire to be back out performing.
Bags packed again, Loreta moved to her current home in Los Angeles where she is writing, recording and producing songs for her debut album. Along the way she has become fluent not only in her native tongue but also English, Spanish and Russian.
Classical virtuoso, songwriter, vocalist, performer, dancer, photographer, painter, business woman, master of languages and philanthropist. Loreta’s soaringly beautiful vocals are an unmistakable force in the musical landscape of today whilst her passions and talents make her as unique and as varied as the beautiful city of Vilinus from which she came.
