Hello to all! It has been a few weeks since an update so we figured it was about time. So many things going on right now.
First, I have to talk about our Street Team from the University of Central Oklahoma. These guys are incredible. This weekend they are volunteering to paint an entire grade school in the Edmond area. They got all the paint and everything donated. This blows me away. They organized everything all on their own. They actually didn't even call to tell us what they were doing until it was all finalized. We love all our street teams. Those of you involved in a street team have no idea how much we appreciate your time and effort that you put into your communities. We love you. Seriously.
Here is what's going on around here. We are working right now to gain our official non-profit status. It is not the easiest process. But once it is all over and done with, things will run so much more efficiently. Becoming an official non-profit corporation and gaining our 501 c(3) status will open so many doors for us to help more people. How about buying a homeless man a house someday? These things are possible in the future with gaining this status. We will keep you updated as the process continues.
The site is still being built and I just can't say enough about how great it is. On the site we will have new projects that will give people avenues to get involved in their communities. We can't wait for the site and projects to launch. Coming soon. Very soon.
Lastly I would ask for your prayers. There is a family from my hometown that has been on my heart this week. The family went to my home church where I grew up. I won't go into much detail out of respect for the family, but three members of the family have passed away in the past six months. Two of them from a freak explosion late this summer and now the father in a car accident this last week. This leaves only two out of a family of five. I can't even imagine the pain they must be feeling. Please keep them in your prayers.
Our time here is short brothers and sister. Lets live life to it's fullest. May we live life fully alive.
Be blessed,
Jordy.
