My business cards are useless.

I really, really wish my mom could have called me a week ago to tell me that she's changing my cell phone number. Because a week ago, I still had the power to change the files I had sent off to the printer. But instead, I OK-ed the files on Monday, $65 is deducted from my bank account, and Saturday she tells me like it's no big deal in a 1-minute phone conversation. Commence freaking-out...

The printer is closed on weekends, and by the time they're open again tomorrow, I'm quite sure that my cards will have been already printed and most likely on their way to me. I really, really don't want to write in my new number on 500 cards. Not that I mind all the writing, but what sort of message is that going to send to every single potential employer I hand one of these to? "Hi, I apparently don't know my own phone number." "Hi, I don't know the meaning of a 'press check'." "Hi, I'm too cheap to purchase accurate business cards."

Well, the last one's mostly true, but only because I don't have an income.

I half-expected some sort of catastrophe right around graduation time. I just had no idea where it would come from. This definitely blindsided me. Any more of these setbacks are entirely unwelcome, as it can't be a worse time for them to be happening to me. I wanna curl in a ball and live in a cave for the next 6 months. :(
