After years of playing in bands he found that other people only held him back and in 2006 he made a complete break. Now he works alone with only a laptop for company weaving together wide ranging influences spanning shoegaze, breaks, electronica, folk and much more into an etherial ambient sound that is all his own.

Reviews:
I'm thrilled to be able to bring you the first release on Tarl Ashman's (aka Innerise) Distant Noise label. This debut release comes from Luga and it's an absolutely spot on blend of melodic music that manages to sound electronica, as well as textural and even shoegazey. There are some seriously uplifting moments of soaring soundscape mixed with delicately crunchy beats and a robust sense of melody that carries thewhole thing through in style. One to enjoy whilst letting the sounds wash over you. I like this a lot and it's a spankingly good start for the label. Top. ......>>smallfish records<<

Reviews:
'Bound by indifference' is an album created by Lewis Broad Ashman from the UK. Slowly building his way into the IDM music scene Luga's debut brings tunes that have elements from all kinds of origin, layered synths, fresh sounding (glitch) beats, gentle sweeps and chords all pass the revue.....>>u-cover<<
Another excellent release from -Scaldis-'s own VU-US label. Taking a chilled out and nicely electronic feeling with a melodic and organic texture. Most of the rhythms are on the downbeat tip (I hate to mention Boards of Canada, but it seems somehow appropriate!) and the layered up sounds use various influences, from guitars right through to synths. It's a musical album and sits very happily next to the work of labels like Boltfish and U-cover, albeit with a more accessible (kind of) style. Very pleasing indeed and one to check......>>smallfish records<<

this place is so slow i'm assuming it is what it will be like when i die - a tasteful minimalist environment that is simutaneously relaxing but makes you worry about what you are going to fill the next 45,000 years of eternity with.
