hey, the name's si. i'm a music tech student from the depths of suffolk. i've just finished my final year at college getting ready to study sonic arts at university in london in september. i can't wait. what is sonic arts you say? imagine if music and art had a train crash and sonic art is what you'd arrive at..kinda, it's hard to define. i'm fascinated by sound, that's why i chose to study such a strange subject like sonic art, i'll get to mess about with sound for three years. i like to think i'm quite a creative lad, i make 'music' on my laptop. which is a mac since you asked so nicely. actually, most of the time i just glitch the fuck out of a loop of music, it can relieve a huge amount of stress. pfft, as if i'm ever stressed, i'm totally laid back. myspace is in fact the devil, so i joined virb instead, it looks alot nicer, i like nice looking things. i'm convinced i have an obsessive compulsive disorder. i'm really forgetful and i never 'get' a film the first time round, i'll have to watch it again. i work at virgin megastores and have done for like 4 years now, mental i know, i just can't leave! i like to take photos of stuff, interesting stuff mainly, or just pictures of my home town. i love vinyl, i have quite a small collection but there's some great stuff in there - and they once belonged to amon tobin. that's my claim to fame. my music taste is pretty eclectic, there's not much i don't like.
hmm anyway, i think this has gone on for long enough now. take it easy guys and gals.

then i'm off to post-secondary, two months after taking art history, with a minor in history.. so that should be fun

hey! sorry i didn't reply to your last message. it was filled with such sonic goodness that it was quite overwhelming! i was trying to comprehend all of it and come up with something intelligent and witty to reply with, but alas it didn't happen.
things are going well over here- thanks for asking! i've got about three more weeks until i graduate high school, so things are looking up. i think i'm ready to get out of here. i'm also really excited cause tomorrow night my friend and i are going to a concert. LCD Soundsystem is headlining and YACHT is opening for them. jona, who is the main guy in YACHT, is super cool, so hopefully i'll get to chat with him some. how are things for you?

i brought future music the other day and it had a thing about game boy stuff my original massive grey game boy may get a new lease of life. hehe! i am slowly working my way through their back catalogue. ive got creative block at the moment too. website code is frying all my creative ability i just want to draw pictures.

i think darren has other films to do first but hes working on a script atleast. withnail and i is great, his name is just i! im loving the cinematic orchestra still. they are touring at the mo i think, shame i cant get to see them. gunna be getting an oxygen8 for my birthday in a week or so. :D
