The most vital art is always made at intersections:
technology and tradition...
silence and volume...
sacred and profane...
Maida Vale lives and thrives at these intersections. Forming in mid-2007 in a town that's far from attentive to their genre, Maida Vale is already impressing listeners with its thoughtful arrangements and well-crafted songs and soundscapes. Playing empathetically and with a dynamic sensibility rarely present in today's music, Maida Vale's earthy, cinematic yet song-focused playing leaves a haunting and lasting impression.
The members of Maida Vale have individually made their musical footprint in the past, having experience in touring, engineering, and production. Each member could easily front his own project, but the group prefers to walk the more difficult path of collaboration. The resulting music definitely bears the mark of this "strength through diversity" approach.
In the summer of 2007, Maida Vale wrote and recorded a three song EP at Pixel Records in Tallahassee. The self-titled EP is available on iTunes and tangibly at shows. By early 2008, the band plans to return to the studio to begin work on a full-length follow-up to their first EP. In the mean time, Maida Vale continues to write new music and play shows throughout the southeast.

Sometimes new songs look exactly like this. In your head. Before anyone else knows what's happening.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." (Vladimir Nabokov)
Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany!
Feel free to download my music!
