it's dark out there but the moon glares bright
so we can't see the stars that are crashing into the earth tonight

buildings, with care, shelter me in shadow
contrasting the light i can't see above them
and this isn't where i want to be

but we all have a city that we love

epic night sky we might never know
cos we live in this place that is not our home
