This is an extended trailer (5:30 mins) of a documentary I've created. It is a fans point of view of the so-called "Krautrock" genre and a travelogue throughout Germany as I visited key cities and spoke to musicians from the scene and those who know the music. It was begun in 2003, when I received Australia Council for the Arts funding to travel to Germany for this research.
Following my return, I've been trying to complete it, editing and gain permission to use other material (music and footage) independently. It is a slow process do this while doing other things and the documentary is still in progress. I was encouraged by the positive responses from the audience at a test screening. I hope to have it completed by the end of this year.
