So it seems my flash meter’s either broken or in the habit of lying to me these days. The bright side is, apparently if you underexpose Kodak E200 a good bit things start to look like a 60s vogue or Harper’s Bazaar. I’m newly in love with Kodak again as a result of shooting this last roll of E200. Many thanks to Mr. John Kelso for giving me that roll of film and to Mrs. Jarla Aberdavis for posing.

The challenge was to obtain the same force, versatility and colour that are, from our point of view, Helvetica’s greatest qualities. The same proportions have been maintained, albeit with slightly reduced letter width. The resulting design has soft strokes, open counters and terminals; aesthetically resting somewhere between a grotesque and humanist sans serif.

Comes in six weights, with OpenType features including four sets of numerals, fractions, several stylistic alternates and a set of arrows and dingbats.

Martin Lang filmed The Second Vision over a five-month period using a Nikon D90 with a custom curve file — created to replicate the look of Kodak’s Vision2 5229 film stock — loaded into the camera itself. The results are gorgeous. (via Curved White)

A fantastic series of photos: Legos on Hoth. The photographer gives a full description of how they took the photos, which involve submerging the figs in water, then sprinkling plaster of paris for the snow. Brilliant!
