Matt Mackey

I used to write all my biographies in third person so as to appear more important than I really am. That time has passed. I'm told there's a balance somewhere between creating your own hype that you subsequently have to live up to and going the route of self-loathing artist. I haven't found that balance just yet, so this bit may come across slightly disjointed. I make music that matters to me. My dream, and I'm not alone here, is to make music that matters to other people as well. If that happens, my world will be better. However, if it doesn't, I'll just keep making music that still matters to me. If I can't buy into it, believe it, own it, grab hold of it and shout it at the top of my proverbial lungs, then I have no interest in writing or recording it. Anything else would just be a waste. If you've read this far, it's time for you to know another thing about me. I like to shamelessly promote my friends. For some of the finest graphic/web design this world has seen, feel free to visit Colin Harman . For a photographer that captures life's simplistically epic moments, you'll want to see my good friend Matthew Addington . Lastly, a man who speaks pure, unadulterated truth at every step, David Miller .
Now that you've seen what I have to offer, and hopefully taken the time to see the incredible people I surround myself with, I certainly hope at least one of us will hear from you. At this point I've nothing left to say but to thank you genuinely for being interested enough to read this far, and hopefully for having been listening while you do.
