If you haven't heard it LISTEN BEFORE READING THIS.

the reason for this is because as the performer it's very easy for me to pick holes in my own performance and I'd like you to listen without reading my comments first so you can form your own opinions.

I played the solo (on the trumpet) for this and it was okay. It could have been a lot better had we had more rehearsal time but because the orchestra was made up of 54 volunteers that had a lot of other stuff on and rooms were hard to get weekly. So we prepared 40 minutes of music in four 1:30 hour rehearsals.

The experience was great for me as it was the first time I had been a soloist in front of an orchestra and performed without music. There are a few weak points and I've gotten a great deal more experience since this recording in early 2007 but all in all it was really fun!!!

I'll see if I can get the video up soon as that's much more exciting to watch!!
