About
Matty is a twenty-year-old Brooklyn native that's making quite a name for
himself on the NYC club and session scene. Since learning his way around his
dad's studio at the young age of ten, the youngster has impressed some very
heavy-hitters early on.
Most recently Matty¹s recorded the CD Another Way with The Classic Futures,
featuring the multi-instrumentalist on bass. (The pop/rock band features MTV
personality Damien Fahey on drums) Amendola also plays drums live and
records with the blues/rock band Weird Old America with Texas guitar-whiz
Nick Diaz.
His first solo effort = Ecstasy contains songs written and produced by
Matty, as well as him playing drums, guitars, bass, and singing all the
vocals. Behind the board on the technical side is Grammy award winning
engineer Butch Jones.
Amendola is still vague about his plans for his future, although he enjoys
working as a musician for hire and loves playing drums, he also plans on
putting his own band together that may put him up front on guitar and
vocals. And wasting no time, he's already recording his sophomore album Life
