About

Mauro Martinuz started to play solo performances 4 years ago, getting inspired by ambient and minimalistic music (like Eno and Riley). There is no real structure in his compositions but a continuous overdubbing of walls of sound generated from the electric guitar. The different sequences are linked together by field recordings and noises generated by contact-microphones. Using just electric and acustic guitars, a violin bow and pedal effects, he creates his own sound full of random melodies and minimal beats obtained by beating the pick-up.
In 2008 he started to play with analog tapes, walkman and found objects developing noise machines (see videos in the video section) and performances.

In 2006 he founded N.E.D.A.C.(www.nedac.it), a cultural association working in the field of art and the organisation of cultural events.
Since the beginning, the association organised festivals such as Architetture Urbane, Venetian Industries Festival and started Nu Fest an electronic music festival organised with Veneto Jazz in Padova (Italy).
At Nu Fest performed, among the others, Pan Sonic, Signal, Thomas Brinkmann, Sasha Funke and others.
Currently NEDAC continues to help artists and art organizations to realize cultural projects in Itay and abroad. In 2008 the founding member, Mauro Martinuz, moved to Berlin to further develop the role of the NEDAC in a sitespecific project based in a 500 sqm factory, which has been transformed into a space for Artist Residencies, DIY and software workshops, and a professional recording studio.

He's founder member of the artistic collective called Abusers (www.myspace.com/abusers) and since the beginning of 2008 he collaborates with the videoartist Elisa Campagnaro at some Audio/Video projects (you can check out the first work called "The Italogreek Track" down on this page).
In summer 2008 he started a collaboration with the theater company Anagoor. "Cantica" is the first theater piece they presented to a festival in September 2008 in Castelfranco Veneto (TV).
