About

An accomplished and dextrous engineer by trade, Maxime Cescau has been DJ'ing and producing since the early 90s.
Having moved around a lot in his youth, Max cut his teeth on both the Chicago and San Francisco circuits.
Noteworthy venues include San Fran's Mighty, Pink, DNA Lounge and Liquid Lounge clubs, Chicago's Green Dolphin Street and Smartbar as well as being a key Dj in the burgeoning mid-western rave scene.

Apart from Maxime Cescau, his writer aliases include Poussez (with SSRadio Co-host Jafar), Toastburglar, Tonrausch and Waxjackkers, not to mention
the numerous engineering credits on credible stateside and european house labels. Maxime has over 30 releases and remixes under his belt and that number is growing strong.
He honed his skills in various post-production studios in California, Dubai and London before committing himself solely to his own creations and label 4bit.
4bit is an eclectic record label and online art gallery that he runs with his Chicago based partner and fine artist Pete Nawara when he's not locked in the studio or touring live with Jafar.

At the moment Max has also launched a publishing company with Jafar that specializes in Electronic/Dance Music called Planetmath. Great things are to be expected from the already high caliber roster.

Back in London, after a whirlwind Chicago / San Francisco tour.
Special thanks to all the people at Salud, 4bit and very special thanks to Empirical Music Company.
You are all amazing.
My head still hurts from all the good times.

Pete Nawara is a dangerous man!
I'm in Chicago on some serious business, and this man made me loose the plot.
He is a powerful being. His drinking abilities are far beyond most peoples.
Anytime you wake up at 4am vomiting, you know you've overdone it.
