Since its inception Mean Molly's Trio has come out swinging, shaking the Utah music scene to its core; demanding an open ear and a mobbing dance floor wherever they go. Serving up a precocious blend of hometown swagger with a stupid amount of sincerity, they're sure to get you on your feet!
While Mark Young (bass) and Clint Stanger (drums) set the stage with a straight down impressive sense of rhythm (and lavish good looks) Timm Gehrett (guitar, vocals) sets in with a rasping thunder and conviction in his voice like you've not heard before. Then, without remorse he sticks it to the crowd with a one handed guitar solo. Hanging his black fedora on the rusty microphone, he proceeds to twist the dagger with his mind bending speed and articulation.
SLUG Magazine raves, "MMT's sound is something sort of like rockabilly, blues, garage rock and surf rock, blended together. Give the CD a listen and you'll know why my eardrums are screaming from the pain of Things I See."
SLC Weekly Magazine boasts, "vocalist Timm Gehrett's voice gets the party raging, sounding as if ravaged by years of hard liquor and sword swallowing, his delivery is fit for Anytown USA's shadiest biker-bar."
