Melissa doesn't have to work on being unique. She just is. This singer/songwriter of a different kind fuses music genres from jazz, blues, pop, to R&B. Music fans from all walks of life are discovering her, her voice and are quickly captivated by her artistry.

Melissa started writing songs at an early age growing up in Texas. And early on in her career, she worked as a professional songwriter in Nashville for a number of years. Crafting songs is the key to her music but it is her honest and soulful voice that makes one mesmerized. Melissa “has a voice that is not only skilled and imaginative, but distinct in its tonal quality, allowing her to take the material to a higher level.” (Music Connection Magazine – Jan. 2006)

Like most of us, Melissa searches for truth and answers by diving into everyday surprises and reflecting on life’s roller coasters – these things are evident in the songs. As she continues to grow and live through different journeys, so will the music. Tune in.
