i always feel like people are so eloquent in these "about me" sections. well, me, i am not so eloquent. and for that matter, i'm not nearly as artistic or musically inclined as most of the people here on virb.com.
but, one thing i am good at is being passionate: passionate about jesus and his love. passionate about africa. passionate about breaking naivety. passionate about life. and definitely passionate about making a difference.
find me here: myspace.com/meljolovesyou
the bible, velvet elvis (rob bell), dateable (justin lookadoo and hayley dimarco), captivating: unveiling the mystery of a woman's soul (jonh and stasi eldredge), jesus freaks: martyrs (dc talk), made to worship (chris tomlin), be the change (zazh hunter)
ahh... i know exactly where jinja is. our "office headquarters"/getaway was in kampala. right on lake victoria, so we had a sweet group of monkeys we'd feed and by the end of my time out there they'd come into our cottage to get food from us. they're fiesty little fellars. the work we do is in soroti, so we'd drive through jinja everytime we were commuting between the two. i was doing work (building, filming, photography, editing, designing, etc...) for an NGO called TCON.

i just saw your pics from uganda. were you out there with invisible children? in '05 i spent two months filming and building for an organization in soroti... also, the monkeys in your pics look really familiar. where are those pics from? one of the resorts i stayed at had a family of the same type of monkeys.
