The Neglect (My Stand Still)
As much as I wish I was writing to inform the few (or none) who even visit here that I am currently working on long awaited music I have to say the that it is quite the contrary. The military has put a damper if not all be know it suffocation to some of the things I am really passionate about, music be one of them. Even though I know and understand that music will never be a substantial financier for my family (at least realistically), even as lyrics & music bounce through my head almost 24/7 I am slow and must neglect. Not that I actually want to but that I really do not have the resources or time that I once had when I recorded the tracks you see before you. Maybe someday the world will slow down enough for me put to pass some of the things I have written in my head the last few years. I sit and think about the places I have been fortunate enough to go and experience because of my music, all the bands I have played with, or opened for, and the people I have played for. I have made many friends along the way and had my life changed from the beginning. I married the girl I sang to in high school, so that has to say something for my music right? If not I know that if there is a heaven which I am most certain there is, there is a cozy little spot in some venue up there with comfortable couches, good drinks, good conversation, and an audience that hungers for the crap that I create.
I pray and hope that you all are well. That you discover the blessings that are already in your life, and never fear the opportunity to find and embrace new ones. Thanks.
Unitl then, I hope to see you all somewhere, sometime... maybe I'll have a guitar, maybe I won't. All in all it should be good times.
