I grew up as a "PK", Pastors kid, and began playing guitar when I was about 12. My sister, Mary, had also began to take drum lessons around that same time. We grew up practicing and playing together at home. I wrote my first song when I was 13, and after that the songs just came pouring out like a river into the ocean. I eventually got the opportunity to sing one of them at a highschool assembly! Sharing Jesus with over 2,000 unbelieving students was not only a privledge but the beginning of realizing that God had given me a gift and that I was to share it! Not only did the school ask me to write another song to sing the next year, but I had also been leading worship since Jr. High and began leading a worship team made up of highschoolers once a month for the regular church service's. A friend of mine also began to sing with me and we went to a few churches and sang, all the time my sister supporting the ministry with some really AWESOME Beats! My friend ended up stepping out, but my sister and I have continued to plug away. I have gone to camps to lead worship, written camp theme songs, and taught guitar lessons to younger kids. My sister and I together have made it our aim to go only where God leads. The more we do nothing, the more God does everything and doors fly open. We have made it our commitment to serve Jesus and him only, and in doing so we realize that through our music we can help people express what is on their hearts. Whether it's a song that worships our Maker, a song that reminds us of our worth in Christ, a song written about those that are lost, or a song that simply sets our minds on the promises found in Gods Word, we know that it is all for His Glory. The book of Philippians has played a huge part in both my sister's life and my own. Read it and find out about what we are talking about! Below is my prayer for each one of you that are walking daily with our Lord Jesus Christ! Philippians 1:9-11 "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the Glory and praise of God."
