Minamean is an exuberant and creative artist. Her deep mono tone vocals and prolific composition expresses strength and self confidence in her music. Born in Berkeley, California, raised by her father in the tough streets of East Oakland, California. Minamean learned at an early age about the struggles and what it takes to make it out to be successful. She started rapping in 1997 with childhood friends for fun. She didn't take music seriously until 2002, after loosing a significant amount of relatives and close friends. Realizing life is too short to not live out your dreams, she began writing songs and poetry. Doing open mic at the Java House in Oakland,California and the Ocean Lounge in Sacramento, California to prepare herself for the stage.

Coming from a musical background with the likes of her grandfather Floyd Beck ,former member of the Hues Corporation.Who was famous for the hit song "Rock the boat", and released several gospel albums before his passing in 2005. Uncle Thavius Beck whose made groundbreaking contributions to fim scores, as well as commercial. Composed and remixed songs for a variety of artist from Nas to Nine Inch Nails. With the inspiration from great artist within her own family, Minamean launched her own online clothing store http://Khosi.com, named after her son. She has collaborated with uniquely talented artist as Rapture, Kamikazee of Regime, The Purple Factory, DJ Fresh, S.B.R, Thavius Beck, Laury G, The Fresh Boyz, Chris the V, Dot Goodie, Pestp, and Camp Crisis just to name a few.

In 2006/2007 Minamean was on of the prestigious designers to have appear in Sac Town Magazine for Khosi Clothing, also in Ozone Magazine as an upcoming Bay Area Artist. She has featured in a variety fashion shows and vendor distribution event's across Northern California, "Return of the Fashion Whores" Hosted by Lipstick Fashion's,"Massage & Spa Vendor party" Hosted By Tiffany Drummer ,"Bay Area Rap Summit" Hosted By Danny Dee, "Fashionably Live" Hosted by Lily New York Boutique,"Sacramento Music/ Fashion Festival" Hosted by Grilla Ware, "Chin Yere Clothing Fashion Show" Hosted By Dj Chainsaw, "Bazaar Royale" Hosted By Faedrah Clothing, and "Winter Fashion Show" Hosted By Faedrah Clothing. Khosi Clothing has been a success, and Minamean continues her family legacy by spreading her wings with her musical style.
