Miniwave is Laird (ML, dumbmachine) and Ted (Roshi, Ainu, The Oo-Ray). We're scientists from Portland, Oregon. We met while playing electronic music shows together as ML and Ainu. However, we realized that we shared a love for the menacing and beautiful sounds of shoegazer rock. So we donned our lab coats, picked up some guitars and some pedals, shoved sounds into the computer, and fused electric guitar feedback with digital destruction (at room temperature!).

Our experiments have led us to the conclusion that the miasmal drone products of this fusion process, when washed over the listener, produce a sensation that is 95% pleasant and 5% analagous to sea-sickness. You should try it, trust us, we're scientists.
