I've added new tracks. All are available for (free) download. "Evening" is one long improvised piece, start to finish, with no editing or post-production. "Improvisation 6/25/07" is the same, a one-take improvised electronics piece. I say 'improvised' in order to refer to the mode of compositional praxis and to indicate that no software was involved in the production of the pieces. There are, however, many aspects of both pieces that stem from hours of work and practice (in other words, 'improvisation' has a particular meaning here, perhaps more akin to 'eai' or electroacoustic improvisation). The core of the collection is a number of tracks that I refer to as 'analog concrete' (Glance, North, East, South, West, Afternoon, More of the Four). The focus in these pieces is on sound design, timing, silence, space, negative space, repetition, distance, and volume, among other elements. And yes, I am well aware that there couldn't possibly be more than five people who would choose to listen to such things. : ) But that's fine by me, as this is what interests me most at the moment and there are a few moments scattered throughout with which I am quite pleased.
