Exercising demons in my mind,

I ventured into the waves of people that had flooded downtown Chattanooga for the ever impressive Riverbend Festival last night. I was not there to partake in the musical mediocrity presented there. I was there, in hopes to witness a Features shown that would prove worth my $10. The show started late, so I was already a bit leery about the turnout, not to mention parking was limited to buying a scooter, riding the bus, or showing a little leg to get a lift to the venue. I managed to be lucky enough to have a roommate that works downtown with a 24hr parking pass.

The show started out with Dixie Dirt. 2 guy, 2 girls, not much to say. Then came Coral Castles. My good friend DM, who previously played in J. Roddy Walston and the Business and The Good Players, keeps up with the beats for this foursome. It was a fun, booty shaking good time. Their songs are tight, good lyrics, and just enough pizzazz to keep the crowd into it and wanting just a little bit more. I assume the crowd was please with their experience thus far, I was anyway. The room filled with more smoke, more people, and more alcohol. I took my place in front, as to not be distracted by drunkards less interested in the music. The Features started strong kept it strong and ended strong. The band is known for leaving the crowd wanting, but they always seem to wrap it up with a few extras after the curtain call.

By 1:30am. I was exhausted but pleased with my musical experience.
