Misterioso was born in an impromptu living room jam session, and has since become a fully formed, exciting band. Blending the dynamism of a contemporary chamber ensemble with the passion of a gypsy band, Misterioso covers wide musical terrain, performing new original compositions next to old European folk melodies.

The ensemble features Celia Harris on violin, Christian Runge on guitars, Daniel Fabricant and/or Seth Ford-Young on contrabass, and Rob Reich on accordion.

Celia Harris - Violin
Celia has played violin since the age of six, and studied for several years with the assistant to Jascha Heifetz, Sherry Kloss. Throughout her life, she has performed classical, bluegrass, old-time, and Eastern European styles. She currently performs Eastern European folk and classical music throughout the Bay Area.

Christian Runge- Nylon string and Electric Guitars, Mandolin
Christian has been studying and playing guitar and other stringed instruments for 17 years. At 16, he played with the award winning Fallston High School Jazz Ensemble. He has studied jazz, classical, and world styles. Christian currently performs regularly throughout the Bay Area.

Daniel Fabricant- Upright Bass
Daniel is currently completing his music degree at San Francisco State University, and is understudy to locally renowned bassist, Marcus Shelby. Daniel has been performing professionally for several years now, playing in Jazz, Latin, and Rock groups at such places as the Great American Music Hall, Masonic Auditorium, The Plush Room, and Cafe Du Nord.

Seth Ford-Young- Upright Bass
Now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seth began performing in clubs around D.C. with his hardcore band Initial Reaction, later Seth moved to California and immersed himself in Jazz and Classical bass and vocal study. Now Seth is a busy professional with numerous ensembles, peforming many styles. You may have seen Seth live or heard him on recordings with the following artists- Tom Waits, Carneyball Johnson, Eric McFadden, and many more.

Rob Reich- Accordion
Rob has played accordion and piano with numerous and varied groups throughout the Bay Area. Gigs have included bandleader for The Va Va Voom Room burlesque show, Gaucho, Sean Hayes and 1960s soul organ with Lord Loves A Working Man. He is also an accomplished composer, with a degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
