Modern Radio is an independent and do it yourself label based out of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Modern Radio began in the Spring of 1999 with the Misfires LP/CD "Dead End Expressway". The label was started by Tom Loftus to document a growing community of bands and people in the Twin Cities area. It has expanded to include bands from around the United States and, in the future, bands from all over the world. The focus of the label is on community and exists to encourage others to make music, and other forms of art. Profits are secondary to the creative process. Pete Mielech joined on as part of Modern Radio full time in 2005. See www.modern-radio.com for more information.
