Led by current Nine Inch Nails member Alessandro Cortini, and accompanied by former Abandoned Pools guitarist Pelle Hillstrom, modwheelmood's sound is best described as "alternative pop electronica", yet is a stimulating departure from the typical laptop based bands who label themselves as "electronica". "Enemies & Immigrants", their first release on Buddyhead, was largely conceived and recorded by Alessandro Cortini in hotel rooms across the world whilst on tour with Nine Inch Nails.
