this is the first track of the weekly project. the concept for the first week to to sortof show how i usually work, i usually create ten or so different four measure long patterns of melody, rhythm, and percusssion. then i arrange the ten different chunks into a whole and work on trying to come up with transitory phrases and ways to get from one bit of music to another. then mix, add some automated effects, and there it is.

sort of a western reductionist approach. come up with small discrete bits of good musicness, and hope that when you put all the little pieces together the whole makes sense.
