Monolyth & Cobalt is a project from Mathias Van Eecloo, a french musician, photographer, plastic artist, & performer born in 1977. This project has begun in 2007, after a lot of black & white slides of his personnal photos and an important passion for a lot of music. Now, in the beginning of 2009, he has released his second self-released album, who is limited to 100 copies, like the first one.
Label : "no man's land recordings" (A DIY way).

A lot of Electronica (electroacoustic, improvisation, fields-recordings, dowtempo, break-beat, idm, drone music, turntablism, ambient, trip-hop, industrial...) Rock (progressive, alternative, cold wave, krautrock, punk, oldies, noise, new-wave, industrial, post-rock, improvisation) Quiet & Contemporary Music (like Meredith Monk, Ellen fullman, Philip Glass, Arnold Dreyblatt, Eliane Radigue, Arvo Pärt, John cage...) A lot of World Music and some Jazz, Fifties & Sixties Music, Jungle Exotica, Oldies, Ska & Calypso & Mento, Some Hip Hop like abstract Hip-Hop...
