About
Moonshine Mason and the Rot Gut Gang was formed in March 2004. Our goal is to preserve the heritage and sounds of traditional country music by performing live the music of legends such as Porter Wagoner, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, the Louvin Brothers and others.
Considering the fact that modern "country" radio and television programs generally ignore current releases by the living legends of country music, let alone paying any respect to their classic favorites, it becomes the responsibility of live working performers to remind us of the rich, exciting nature of this timeless music genre.
In short, bands like Moonshine Mason are keeping traditional country music alive for future listeners by performing the classics as well as new, original material.
