This Sunday night is youth night. Youth night is the one Sunday night a month that we invite the whole church over so they can experience what any other youth group night is like. In truth I think youth nights were invited for whiny youth pastors that didn't get to preach enough with a little bit of "we want to see our youth doing something for Jesus" just not outside of the church were they could get hurt or really be around sin. (Re-Reading that last sentence makes me sound really bad) ANYWAY! I know what we are going to talk about. Its not a really popular subject to begin with and is not at all something that one would think about talking about the ONE night a month that all the adults and children and youth are all in the same room.

However I think the reason we are going to talk so hard about what sin is, what it looks like, and how sinful we ourselves is a good topic for the whole family.

Our topic for youth night is about how everyone is sinful and how no one is better (even though we think we are) better than anyone else and Jesus power to save us (his enemies). Its basically the breaking down of our stereotypes in which we think that this persons sin is worse than our own. I would like to call it, "Your just as sinful as the guy that you talk about all the time that sleeps around with his boyfriend, while getting drunk, and gambling, but don't worry Jesus can save you too." But I think it would draw away to much from the message :)

Should be fun and I plan to post the audio on our youth page for the church so that everyone that visits knows our stance on sin and Jesus' power to redeem.
