Job Title: Advertising & Promotion Sales Location: Nashville, TN Summary: The primary responsibility of the Sales Consultant is to sell the products of both Motiveight and it's customers to the appropriate client base. This position will report directly to the President and be considered one of the foundational members of the Motiveight team. Our Philosophy: Some people use flip charts. Some people use PowerPoint. We believe that the basis of any sales transaction is relationship. The facts are necessary but the connection between the salesperson and the buyer is essential. We aren't out to simply sell a product or a service, but to partner with the client/customer and help them meet their needs. Essential Responsibilities: o Develops and implements a comprehensive communications plan, with specific strategies and action plans to increase the sales for Motiveight and it's clients o Promotes the Company's products and services in local and national markets by identifying prospects and pitching our products and services to them o Communicates with the Company's clients about the progress of sales on a regular basis. o Assists the President in prospecting and securing new accounts Top 10 reasons why this job IS NOT for you: o You don't know what CRM means o You can't recite and define the typical sales process o You prefer an independent, non-collaborative, work environment o The phrase "art of a sale" doesn't make sense to you o Microsoft Excel is that "other" program, not a necessary tool o High pressure is meant for tires, not you o You prefer to communicate by every means except phone or face-to-face o In the face of something new, you need someone to give you a kick-start o Creative thinking isn't fun o You don't like risk Qualifications: o An undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or a related field o 2-4 years of sales or related work experience (and we're not talking about retail sales) o An understanding of basic Christian doctrine and the distinctions between various Christian denominations and movements o A thorough awareness of current news, market trends, and popular culture o Must be detail-oriented and possess organizational skills to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment o A warm, friendly, and positive personality--someone who is comfortable meeting new people and is able to connect easily to those from diverse backgrounds o An understanding of basic branding concepts and principles, along with some experience in graphic design and visual communication. o Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and other Internet related tools. o Preferred to have experience with CRM systems To apply, please email a cover letter and resume to kyle@motiveight.com. Viral marketing is unpredictable at best. You do one thing expecting a result, and surprise! For the past two weeks, I've been posting bulletins on myspace, announcements here on Virb and using word of mouth to drive as much interest in the marketing position here at Motiveight. Nothing was working....resumes were not coming in. Until I tried CraigsList.com. Yes, this bad-boy of a site is quickly becoming one of my favorite collections of individuals looking for something. Gone are the days of eBay...it's overrun with retail and cheap crap. Now, it's CraigsList.com. Looking for help? A love sac? To sell a vehicle? All of these have proved to be successful for me. I posted the job application on Thursday morning and by Friday afternoon I had well over 15 resumes to sift through; approximately 5-8 of them are great leads. thanks Craig. Your list is fantastic.
