About
Movie is the music project of Stu Watson.
Currently, Movie is a full-fledged, old-school band. Austin Barney plays guitar, Jake Brunner plays the drums, and Stu Watson sings and plays the bass. Our sound is metamorphosing accordingly.
The first Movie full-length, Directions, will be out on Shatter Your Leaves in '08... It will be on vinyl with CDR included, and naturally in a very limited run (ie < 300)... It will also be on clear vinyl with an absolutely awesome, home-made cover, this I can promise... You can listen to pretty much all of the songs on the record, plus a bunch of earlier and contemporaneous tunes, here at Virb. More info on the records soon, we need to rerecord one number, hoard funds, etc.
Music we dig includes Microphones, My Bloody Valentine, Yacht, Dirty Projectors, Adrian Orange, Nat Baldwin, Deerhoof, Prince, Joanna Newsom, Karl Blau, Deer Tick, Sam Rosen, and Miles Davis.

Memorable day, folks, spent four hours recording guitars this afternoon, and then Cassie came by and dropped a sick vocal to the lyrics I had written... And just like that, albeit in somewhat rough form, we have a song!
