Murder By Guitar
On Parade CD
(Human Recordings)
(REVIEW BY RAUL REACTION)
After having heard this thing around 30 times, I can say that it is really cool. Not all the tracks are great, but the first 5 songs really kick ass, and also the last 3 or so (even if "Eat Meat" sounds pretty similar to "In love with the Future") and also some others from the middle. Sometimes I prefer the more pop oriented songs, but near all the time I freak out more over "New Kind of Thrill" or "There's a Murder going On", where they really sound like MBG and don't remind me of the Locomotions. That's total Clash-style, but more twisted, like a bit post-punkish. I hope they continue in future releases getting more and more crazy. Good debut LP and I dig the art-work. At this point, it's some of my fave stuff of 2007. But that's because there haven't been any mind-blowing releases at this point.
Note: There's another CD edition on Gonna Puke and an LP on Sounds of Subterrania.
