The knowledge of men is only subject to what their eyes can see. The eyes of men are the gateway to the soul of the man, therefore the eyes which lead directly to the soul will inevitably choose the reality of the world for the soul of the man; more so, the mind of the man. A continuous motion of movement is what we have discovered as the reality of the world where the human race lives. Time is always coming and going and the only truth to the world is the movement.
From the great Alan Watt's kind of "stupid" perspective... the world has evolved into what it has become today. Just like an apple tree makes apples, a world floating around in a solar system with continuous movement producing things, and those things produce things, thus everything is produced by everything coming from the earth.
Alan Watts speaks of the world actually producing something intellectual, something of substance. This "intellectual" substance in our case is the human race.
Religions having evolved into extreme ideas and overly developed ideas that have transformed the way that we choose to allow our minds to work. Human minds are taught to think this way and that way, thus making our minds work somewhat mechanical like the things in which the humans have created.
So essentially we place our minds in a box, allowing them to only think in a certain way and you cant get out of the box until you find out where the small opening is. Just imagine the feeling of terror, being caught in a cage with a continuous attempt of trying to escape the blackness, the cage; living in fear of death, and constant anxiety of the complete blank blackness you are surrounded by; this is life. You can stay in your box, keep searching and searching for the hole, frantically searching every possible aspect of how to get out of the hole that you are in. Maybe you find another person, also in the hole, you share ideas of how to get out, how to escape the box, the cage, or the hole where you live. In the ultimate black blankness that your mind lives in will never make sense until you escape out of the box.
We can accept the fact that death is the answer to the black blankness, assuming that death is the opposite of blackness. So, we can all agree that death is the opposite of life, since to our knowledge anything other than life is death. We cannot see outside of life, because all our souls have seen is life; therefore, all we know is life and since death is not what we know, we reject it.
Now lets get out of the scary black hole in which we call life and think about the happy things. Love, the one true thing that holds to be true; perhaps humans created this along with their intellectualness as a part of evolution, perhaps it was given by some supreme being which ultimately started the whole thing. We do not know much about love; from what we do know as observations are conducted, love is the one reason why most people choose to stay alive. Many people die for love, and many people never find it, in other humans, that is. We find love in every situations; love makes us happy. God is love. So in this sense do we find God in every situation? Or have I found God, the ultimate being, pure true happiness in the man that I love?
Thus, love is the key that guides us through life. We find love, love keeps us happy and satisfied, then death happens and it all makes sense.
