Gameloft’s NOVA has hit the AppStore for $6.99 (sadly without a demo)

It seems to be getting good reviews so far. I’ve been posting so much about this game because; if they pulled-off the FPS well on the iPhone this game will be a new benchmark for iPhone games, and it’s obviously inspired by some of my favorite console FPS games like Halo.

NOVA for iPhone launch trailer. The game comes out on the 17th. It’s an ambitious looking FPS game for the iPhone platform (and looks very Halo inspired). I hope there will be a demo because the touch controls will likely be this games weakness or even downfall.

My girlfriend got me the Black Stealth 3-Channel R/C Helicopter from ThinkGeek for my birthday. She gave it to me a little early so I could play with it over the weekend. It’s something I wouldn’t normally buy myself (but show interest in) so it’s a lot of fun.

I picked Squarespace because it will allow me to redesign my site easily without having to worry about maintaining a backend too (like Wordpress for example). My site has been just venilla html/css as of March 2008; while I don’t need to worry about a backend I still have to hand code all my content and crop thumbnails etc… Thus updates are few, and it’s been nearly 2 years since my last redesign. With Squarespace I’m free to redesign whenever I want without worrying about my content.

Look forward to updates in the near future. I’m not sure how long the redesign will take, I’ll have to get comfortable with Squarespace before I get creative.

You can use the 1Password iPhone bookmarklet in Google Chrome until 1Password officially supports Chrome. Just create the Bookmarklet in 1Password and import your Safari bookmarks into Chrome.

Chrome has just been available as a feature limited (and not always stable) developer preview for Mac until today. Google has just released the public beta (finished enough to actually use) version of Chrome for Mac.

Jet Set Radio Future Wall Graphics [via Joystiq]

I want one! I loved the old Jet Grind Radio (Dreamcast) and Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox) games, and the character design is still great. Too bad they are really expensive to get at a large size.

This is an alternative to OpenDNS or your ISP’s DNS server. If you are paranoid about Google tracking everything you do though, this is not for you.

‘Ace Combat Xi Skies of Incursion’ for iPhone & iPod Touch. Yet another big console game title comes to the iPhone. It looks like a great flight sim and uses the iPhone tilt controls well.

‘Song Summoner Encore’ for iPhone & iPod Touch. This looks like a good strategy RPG from Square Enix. Fans of Final Fantasy Tactics games will likely enjoy this game. The first version of this game was for the classic style iPods and was well reviewed.

The full game is $9.99 (iTunes link) but there’s also a lite demo version (iTunes link) that I plan to try before I buy. It looks like something you’d pay $30+ for on a Nintendo DS or GBA back in the day, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s well worth $9.99 for RPG fans.
