Going to be in Seattle the next few days for AEA 2007 Seattle. Color me wicked excited. I love Seattle. Only been here once before, but I loved it. Liscel's coming out this weekend too, which I expect will be a lot of fun. Speaking of the weekend, anyone want to suggest a good place for a late (10:30 or 11:00) dinner? I'm sure we'll find something but I always prefer individual recommendations.
I'm taking in the Seattle Public Library right now. It's pretty cool. I'm excited with what we'll have once the new Central Library opens in Indy but architecturally, its not even fair to compare the two. This building is inspiring. However, the mini-Mount-Ranier I was forced to climb to get to the building is another story.
You ever had the last seat on the plane, or for that matter, sat in the last row. Well this morning was my first experience with it and I guess I'm the last dufus in America that didn't know those seats don't recline. Not that any other seat on the plane provides any real relief but...really.
I have acute early on-set iPhone envy (damn you T-Mobile.) As such, I've been messing around with Google Maps on my MDA and I like it. Too bad it only (really) works over wifi, or "Wi-Five" as I like to call it. Back to the plane story, here's what I put together while I was sitting with perfect posture about 20,000 feet over ...Arizona?.... maybe? Anyway, I call it b00germaps. It uses cutting edge technology namely, Southwest beverage napkins. I'm tempted to take an hour to clean it up and try to make it funny, but I like the idea that it was planned, and finished in the air.
Well, I'm off. Cheers.
