What's your network?: I've noticed some really clever wireless network names (other than linksys). It is getting hard to think up new ones, almost as much pressure as choosing a fantasy football name, you never know who is going to see it. I didn't think to hard about my current one. I chose "Hamsterdam". Yup, that's how much I love The Wire. Ironic that the only open discoverable network around my place is called "Security".

Today we received more information about Snow Leopard. The list of enhancements is pretty impressive. I'll be looking forward to September. Enhancements that I find the most intriguing are as follows.
AirPort menu signal strength.
The AirPort item in the menu bar now includes signal strength for all available wireless networks, so you can see which access point has the best signal before selecting it.
More efficient file sharing.
With Snow Leopard and a compatible AirPort Extreme or Time Capsule base station, a computer that acts as a file or media server can go to sleep yet continue to share its files with other computers and devices, saving energy. Learn more about energy efficiency and the Mac.
More synchronization options.
Now everyone, not just iPhone users, can synchronize their contacts through MobileMe, Yahoo!, and Google.
Removable sidebar headers.
If you remove the items under the Devices, Places, or Search For header in the sidebar, the header will disappear, too. To add it back, simply drag an item into the sidebar.
Intelligent text selection.
Advanced artificial intelligence analyzes each PDF document to understand the structure of its words, paragraphs, columns, and visual layout and create a map of the document’s organization. Preview uses this information to help you accurately target the text you want to copy and paste, even if the text is in columns.
Text substitution.
In Mail and TextEdit, text substitution lets you create shortcuts for phrases you use frequently that will expand automatically as you type. Common substitutions are built in — for example, changing (c) to a copyright symbol (©) and fractions from 1/2 to ½. You can also add your own substitutions; for example, “pnc” can expand to “privileged and confidential,” and your initials can expand to your full name.
Automatic setup in iCal.
iCal sets up your Gmail and Yahoo! calendars automatically. Just type in your address and password, and iCal configures your calendars.
I really want to have Land Rovers, 40s, and auto-tune vocals in my song but I also love to scream.

1555 Katyn: It's that crazy memorial statue in Harbor East. Fascinating and I can never photograph it (sort of like the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon). National Katyn Memorial Foundation

Nationals: Pretty much your average bowl stadium with almost nothing to set it apart or make it unique. I do like it, it's just nothing special. Last year you could see the Capital Building from the upper deck. This year they have all but blocked out the view with new buildings. Nick is at the dish.

2977 AJ: Another one of Adam Jones signing before Sunday's game. This was moments after I watched him throw a ball from the third base line to fans in the right field stands. Crazy. Orioles ended up losing this one off of an Adam Dunn grand slam. Very much looking forward to Matt Wieters Day tomorrow. www.mattwietersfacts.com

2981 Adam Jones: Adam Jones at Sunday's game. He is on the brink of super stardom. This is going to be his break out year, as long as he stays healthy.

Love these photos, at least until 15.
Last Monday, May 25th, the annual Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake was held near Gloucester, England. In a tradition that dates back at least 200 years, possibly much longer, groups of fearless competitors chase an 8 pound (3.5 kg) round of Double Gloucester Cheese down an extremely steep and uneven hill, with a 1:1 gradient in some parts. Thousands of spectators gather to watch the five downhill and four uphill races, and to celebrate the winners and console the losers afterward. Injuries such as broken bones and concussions are commonplace, but the event continues to grow in popularity. The winner of each race is awarded the delicious round of cheese they were chasing.

1336 Miss Liberty: I have no recollection as to where this is from, just found it in iPhoto today.... Along with Mount Rushmore, I am dieing to go and see the Statue of Liberty. The only time I have ever seen it is way off in the distance as I am crossing the bridge. It just fascinates me. Everything about it. That it was a gift from another country. That it was built over in France and then brought over here. In a boat! That this was one of the first sights people would see when coming to this country. Fascinating.
