My name is Nicolai Riccardo Moldoveanu Grey, I live in Monaco and Canada and have been releasing depressing music since 2003. My main musical entity, named Nick Grey & The Random Orchestra, has often been very entertainingly depicted as "snorecore", "music for absence", "ideal for sessions of late-night estrangement" or "typical bongwater mouthwash gargles".

I love people. Past, present or future contributors to the Random Orchestra records include Matt Shaw (Tex La Homa), Charlemagne Palestine, Martyn Bates (Eyeless In Gaza), Jessica Constable, Jean Marie Mathoul, Richard Moult (Far Black Furlong), Kris Force (Amber Asylum), Nicholas Davis, Rodolphe G., Vasile Moldoveanu...

I also run the tiny "specialty label" Milk & moon recordings, on which I release records in limited, hand-made editions, with the help of my neighbors and family. My mother especially enjoys glueing digipak inlays together.

Additionnally, I am a current member of the projects 230 Divisadero with Matt Shaw, 48 Cameras (a "virtual collective" led by Jean Marie Mathoul and featuring participations by various well-known guests such as Gerard Malanga or Paul Buck), and Grey Force Wakeford (with Kris Force and Tony Wakeford).

My favorite word is conceal.
