so we went to see sweeney todd tonight. i was very excited just like brett and steve were. brett and steve loved the movie, me, not so much. it wasn't what i was expecting at all. but we did take some pictures with the water horse display that was there. here they are

^^me and the water horse

want to see why the water horse is rated pg, here you go

yes, because of some peril and brief smoking. haha.

anyway, after the movie, we hung out with logan, t mike, and kelsi for a while. now i'm posting this and watching beavis and butt hole. haha. anyway, i wish sweeney todd would have been better.

i went into the movie thinking, ok, tim burton, classy movie, good movie, probably is going to be my fav tim burton movie. watching it, i felt like i was in an edward scissorhands meets hostel, meets pirates of the carribean. johnny depp looks just like edward scissorhands and sounds like he is in pirates of the carribean, and there is so much really really fake looking blood everywhere which brings in the eli roth aspect of the movie. the blood is really what killed it for me. it looks like some high school kids did it. blood squirting everywhere, it didn't really feel like tim burton when that was going on.

it was funny at some parts though, so that was good.

but i am also a firm believer that it is nearly impossible (other than grease and wizard of oz) that musicals shouldn't be made in film. they are made to seen from one prospective with theater preformers, not multi angled with film actors.

so yea, i wouldn't say it was a complete waste of money, but it is a decent movie, just go into with comedy in mind, not a serious movie.

hope that helps, and let me know what you think of it.
